Choose the Appropriate Oils for Each of Your Chakras
If you're at all familiar with essential oils, you'll know that for typical issues like the need to get better sleep or stop those heinous allergies, there are specific essential oils that are recommended.
You can say the same thing for using essential oils to work with your chakras. The initial step in choosing essential oils to boost reiki is to select the appropriate oils that align with your chakras to help them open for the reiki session.
One way to be sure you're choosing the right essential oils is to select blends that are labeled for use with each of your chakras. They might be labeled using the name of the chakra, or simply with the color of each of the chakras.
While you can find blends like this at many natural food and health stores, I find it easier to order mine from Plant Therapy. They have a great chakra healing essential oil set that you can get either in the Chakra Synergies Essential Oil Set of 10 mL undiluted bottles or the Chakra Synergies Essential Oil Roll-On Set, which is pre-diluted.
Applying Essential Oils Topically to Pulse Points
While essential oils can be used aromatically, topically or internally, topical application is most often the best route for reiki healing work. The locations where you'll apple the oils are typically found along the pulse points of your body.
One of the reasons why people talk about pulse points so frequently when it comes to using essential oils is because it's the natural way essential oils are delivered through your skin and into your body.
As the EOs penetrate your skin, more of the scent is released each time your pulse moves through the point. The best pulse points for apply essential oils to are the neck, wrists and temples.
